Job Description


The Accounts Payable Clerk will engage in the coding and entry, computation, classification, and recording of numerical data to keep financial records complete; Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records; And may also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.


• Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information;
• Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes;
• Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases using specialized accounting software;
• Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations;
• Code invoices according to company procedures;
• Reconcile, note and report discrepancies found in records;
• Complete 1099 requisition and reporting to ensure compliance with payment, reporting or other documents;
• Provide internal auditing services; and
• Perform general office duties such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree from a Four Year College or University in Accounting, Finance, or Other Related Field preferred; High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
Experience: 2 – 4 Years in a Related Field Preferred
