Job Description

Location Base: Houston, Texas

Summary/Objective

The assistant sales representative will develop new customer relationships consistent with target market and service level strategies. In this position you will be fully trained by the Sales Manager for one year. After one year of training the title will change to Sales Representative in which the person will be responsible for selling company products and services to include C2, C3 and SAP products by developing current and potential customer relationships to obtain or surpass the yearly revenue budgets in line with company procedures and targets.

Salary Information

1st year: Assistant Sales Representative: $45k-$55k
After 2nd year: Sales Representative: Salary you were hired with PLUS commission

Essential Functions

1. Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential customers.
2. Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services.
3. Negotiate prices or terms of sales or services.
4. Prepare sales contracts for orders obtained and submit orders for processing.
5. Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships.
6. Prepare sales presentations or proposals to explain product specifications or applications to the customers.
7. Collaborate with Sales Manager/CEO to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the sales team.
8. Complete expense reports, sales reports, or other paperwork.
9. Make outbound follow—up calls to existing clients via telephone and email cross-sell and up-sell.
10. Keeps management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports.

Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Business Management, International Business and/or Marketing.
2. A minimum of one year in a sales or sales support role.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance
1. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis, without sponsorship by employer.
2. Must have a valid driver’s license.
