Dewberry is seeking a CADD Technician to work initially onsite at our client’s office in the Northern Virginia area. After the initial assignment this position could be based in any of Dewberry’s Northern Virginia offices (i.e. Gainesville, Fairfax or Leesburg).


  • Provide drafting and design services by preparing and maintaining AutoCAD civil engineering drawings to create a set of schematic, preliminary, and detailed permit plans.
  • Prepare designs from general instruction and preliminary sketches, diagrams or schematic design drawings.
  • Prepare working drawings from conceptual plans.
  • Prepare civil exhibits from conceptual and detailed design drawings.
  • Coordinate with other team members.
  • Support and maintain company CADD drafting standards.

  • HS diploma, A.A. Degree in Drafting, Design, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience required, 5 or more years preferred
  • Experience with civil engineering design/drafting projects required.
  • Land planning design experience preferred.
  • AutoCAD experience required, Civil 3D experience preferred.
  • Microsoft office experience(Word, Excel) required.
  • High attention to detail, good organizational and time management skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
