Job Description

Have you:

•Performed Instructional Design & Project Management on new courses
•Lead the design and development for new course development projects (ILT & eLearning)
•Wrote quiz questions, match job task analysis, perform gap and needs assessments and develop learning objectives for new courses using Blooms Taxonomy.
•Possess knowledge of e-learning design and development processes and concepts
•Created design documents and storyboards to communicate instructional development plans

Do you possess:

4-year college degree in adult education, instructional design or a related subject. A minimum of 7 years work experience in such skills as instructional design, course development, technical writing, PowerPoint, InDesign, project management, education management, technical writing etc.

The Development and Instructional Design Manager works with the Sr. Manager Education Portfolio to prioritize new courses in development and in bringing those to market. Utilizing a combined skillset of Instructional Design, E-Learning and Project Management they champion course development efforts and ensure that NACE remains a leader in Adult Education.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Serve as Project Manager and leads the design and development for approved new course development projects (ILT and eLearning)
•Responsible for completing Instructional Design and Project Management on new courses.
•Manage new projects and resource planning for E-Learning and ILT courses
•Develop RFPs and manage 3rd party instructional design companies
•Evaluate instructional design/development proposals
•Recruit and manage corrosion experts to participate in new course and rewrite development
•Lead workshops of corrosion experts to write quiz questions, match job task analysis, perform gap and needs assessments and develop learning objectives for new courses using Blooms Taxonomy.
•Possess knowledge of e-learning design and development processes and concepts, preferred
•Creates design documents and storyboards to communicate instructional development plans

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Less than 20% travel is required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

4-year college degree in adult education, instructional design or a related subject. A minimum of 7 years work experience in such skills as instructional design, course development, technical writing, PowerPoint, InDesign, project management, education management, technical writing etc. Related work experience particularly in a not-for-profit/association organization a plus. TECHNICAL SKILLS

Demonstrated familiarity with Instructional Design, Courseware, and Adult Learning principles. Technical writing, teaching/training, facilitation skills, performance measuring, multimedia, curriculum and course development.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, employees of the organization, customers, and the general public. Fluency in other languages a plus (i.e. Chinese, Spanish, etc.)
