Otter Products is currently recruiting for a Safety Training Coordinator to join our team at our Frederick, CO Distribution Center! As the Safety Training Coordinator you will have a dedicated safety-first focus and ensure our Distribution Center Otters perform their work functions in a safe manner. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with supervisors and management within the Distribution Center to schedule and deliver safety trainings as well as document training completion. In addition, you will monitor working conditions and ensure policy and procedures are being followed. In the event of an incident, it is your responsibility to assist with the filing of injury & accident reports, and assist with determining root causes and corrective actions. This safety-Otter will also assist with managing emergency action and inclement weather plans.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and maintain confidentiality, as employees may seek this person out to discuss safety concerns or complaints. This person will think safety all the time and work to develop a strong partnership with all DC Otters to ensure a safe working environment. • Support the safety training program including but not limited to: scheduling training, documentating and collecting safety training feedback
• Deliver front line safety training
• Supporting safety program internal documentation
• Assist with execution of safety programs
• Support program compliance
• Coordinate & support safety teams and safety team documentation
• Coordinate safety activities (i.e. monthly audits, equipment & facility checks, behavioral observations)
• Follow safety practices and company policies
• Support safety compliance with all applicable regulations including but not limited to; company specific, OSHA and government regulations
• Support compliance documentation needs
• Perform safety audits on facilities and programs
• Assist with safety and risk assessments for any new or newly installed equipment, machinery, processes, etc.
• Effectively work with safety trainers, distribution supervisors, and floor leads
• Communicate safety messages to the distribution centers and company operations department
• Support the accident and injury investigation process
• Support the safety culture strategies
• Track, file, and maintain safety training documentation through Microsoft excel and the company’s HRIS
• Contribute to a positive culture and team work environment
• Other duties as required

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum one year of safety related work experience required
• Willingness to complete technical safety certification or courses preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
