The Corporate Workplace Business Line focuses on the skills needed to bring together all services to support Corporate Real Estate in addressing their workspace requirements, regionally, nationally and globally.

Our Houston office is actively seeking a dynamic Project Manager for our Corporate Workplace Practice with the primary responsibility to plan, direct, and supervise all operations included in large, complex project or several moderately-sized projects. This person will manage and lead all technical, financial and client satisfaction requirements using consistent processes and tools. Project teams may include multiple members often representing multiple disciplines as well as sub-consultants.

The Project Manager will manage projects on a local to national basis achieving quality outcomes, financial performance and client satisfaction, successfully develops strategy, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, executes projects, and resolves complex issues, as well as having an understanding of all tasks associated with design, management, planning and direction of projects and construction document preparation. Has a detailed understanding of various regulatory building codes; working knowledge of current construction materials and methods; thorough knowledge of design production techniques, including computer software for drawing, scheduling and reporting tasks. Acts as a primary point of contact with client and has full responsibility for project delivery.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
  • 10+ years of project management experience, with an emphasis on corporate architecture and/or interior design.
  • Experience on all phases and aspects of small to large and complex scale projects
  • Architectural and/or interior design licensure required
  • CADD and Revit knowledge required
  • Well developed and effective communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Must be able to lead a team effort, and delegate work to all team members to enable them to work independently, as well as mentor staff.
  • Flexibility to travel within the United States
  • Understanding of the capacity of the following programs and the type of documentation they produce relative to project deliverables: three dimensional modeling software Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite, Office Suite, AutoCAD and Revit

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sustainability, resiliency and/or climate adaptation experience a plus but not a requirement
