Job Description

Cimarron is currently seeking cleared Technicians to join our team in Titusville, FL.

Key Duties:

Performs electro-mechanical assembly of spacecraft across all subsystems.
Performs fabrication tasks as required to support assembly such as sheet metal fabrication, machining, wire harness fabrication, tube fabrication, and precision cleaning.
Verifies accuracy of work performed and may conduct self-inspection duties.
Performs rework, repair and modification to parts and assemblies.
Performs periodic maintenance on assembly machines and tooling.
Documents automated assembly tasks performed in accordance with applicable procedures.
Coordinates with management to establish work priorities.
Perform functional checks on installed systems using advanced troubleshooting techniques on avionics systems and integrated mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems.
Performs launch vehicle integration support at Cape Canaveral Launch including launch vehicle integration, cargo stowage, crew insertion, and spacecraft and ground system trouble shooting.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

This position requires an active U.S. government Top Secret clearance.
Access to the facility requires a background investigation by U.S. Government authorities. This is a sensitive/safety sensitive position and is subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing.
Must be able to pass physical examination (visual acuity, color perception, respiratory, etc.) to meet production certification and safety requirements.
Structural skills include complex precision match drilling through a variety of materials including metallic and composite.
Must have experience drilling and installing composite components. Additionally, should be familiar with tools, equipment, installation techniques, and acceptance criteria for a broad range of fastener types including threaded fasteners, threaded inserts, tubular rivets, solid rivets, blind bolts, lock bolts.
Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in precision match drilling within first month’s grace period.
Previous experience with electrical bonding, conversion coating, primer touch up, solid rivet installation, and mechanical/structural torqueing required.
Ability to interpret and query engineering datasets in model based definition (MBD) format. General shop skills including Foreign Object and Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, calibration requirements, ESD, and contamination control of precision clean systems.
Must have Electro-mechanical skills including; wire harness routing, wire harness repair, installation of ESD components, electrical bonding, electrical grounding, heater bonding, system testing, and installation of test instrumentation, such as: strain gauges, accelerometers, thermal couples, resistance temperature devices, and pressure transducers.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Must be safety conscious and familiar with safety in a manufacturing environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

Experience on space flight hardware.
A&P License.
